- Assist with course scheduling: is the current course load too essay/ lacking in rigor or on target?
- Is the schedule in line with current college goals?
- Are the core requirements being met?
- Monitor academic progress throughout the year and provide tutor referrals when appropriate if student is falling behind or struggling in a particular subject area or with certain skills.
- Depending on math level and verbal abilities, discuss beginning test prep at the end of the school year ( most of my students are finishing pre-calc; some are taking Calc AB)
What Extracurriculars Are Top Schools Looking For?
- Help students develop leadership potential through community or school engagement
- Explore both in school and outside of school opportunities for development of interests and leadership potential.
- Ongoing assessment of extracurricular activities , including community service in terms of balance and helping to develop a focus for those those without one

How to Put Together a More Thorough College List?
- Begin identifying colleges of interest for students to research at the appropriate time and coach them how to begin to “ demonstrated interest”
- Prepare students to maximize the campus visit experience and to evaluate the experience with regards to building the prospective college list.

- Explore potential majors that relate to the student’s emerging academic and extracurricular profile
- Begin to identify specialized majors where applicable to insure students meet application requirements
